Tuesday Tid-bit

It is the first day of SPRING and it is showing around here! The weather for spring break was beautiful! I could not have asked for nicer weather. It stayed between 70-80* the whole week. We have a little sand pit in our backyard and if anyone knows my boys they know they will dig in that sand pit all day if I let them.

The pictures can do most of the talking. Spring that has sprung:

This weekend, actually over night, we got a TON of rain! The creek that runs behind our house sure filled up fast! Todd and I are guessing the water is about 4' or more deep. This is the same little creek that the boys play in all the time, catch frogs in, and Todd Tanner and I went exploring in.
The pipe that Todd, Max, and Tanner stood on when I took their picture in October. The water will go down quickly and the kids are not allowed to play in it right now. (Just so Grandmas know ;-) )With spring comes the crazy storm season. Last year was crazy so we'll see how this year goes. So many people have said they have lived here for YEARS and have never seen a tornado or been overly worried about the weather...I guess they didn't get/see the hail from last March. I don't mind though. I am getting more and more used to the crazy Texas weather!
Happy Spring!!

A bike, a boy and a broken arm.

A few weeks ago, (actually the day before Max died) TC was chasing Max on his bike when he crashed and broke his arm. I think, from what he told us, the brakes stuck on his bike and he flipped over the top. He landed on the top part of his wrist. He snapped both bones just above the wrist.

Here he is after going to the Insta-Care. He had just a brace on at this point. (pictures are so small because they are off my phone)

Todd took the picture of him at the surgical center, but I haven't got it off his phone yet, the above picture is him just after we got home. He is recovering well. He had a little pain for a few days but did great. He got his glow-in-the-dark cast off a week ago and it was replaced with a bright yellow one.
He will get that cast off in 1 week if everything is all healed. He can't wait! The hardest part of the whole thing for him is that he can't play the drums. He really misses it. I can't wait until he gets it off and he can wash is hand again :-)
I thought our record for having so many boys was pretty good. 1 set of stitches and 2 broken bones...but that has been shattered over the past 6 months. I sure hope that it's not a sign of what's to come. Guess you can expect as much with 5 boys running around all the time!

Valentines Day!

(Lable says Love Potion #9)
This year for Valentines Day we had the Fultons over for a pink and red dinner. I had a lot of fun decorating the table for it! It's not very often around here that I get to decorate with all pink and red. We had Baked Spaghetti, heart shaped rolls (thanks Kristi) salad, Love Potion #9 and Squeeze-it's to drink, and a heart shaped cake for dessert. It was all very yummy!
