Question of the day...

Why does 57 outside feel so nice and warm, and 65 in my house feel like it's FREEZING?

Why is it so easy to tell others when they are wrong, but so hard to admit when We are wrong?

Why does it take me 1 1/2 hours to clean my house and my kids 1 1/2 min to tear it apart?

Why from the age of 8 or 9 till your early 20's do we know everything and have all the answers, and from mid 20's and on we wish we knew more and had more answers?
Just thinking....

Spring Fever

This time of year is hard for me. I love that the weather is giving me a peek of what is to come...warm! It's hard though, knowing we aren't out of some stormy-ness and the cold will still come and go I'm sure. But I will keep a positive outlook and enjoy the warmer weather while it's here...open the windows, go on a walk, and SEND THE KIDS OUTSIDE TO PLAY!!!

Basement Update

I know you are all so interested in the progress of the basement, but some of the reason I blog is because it has been a really good way for me to start journaling.

So here is the basement with the framing and electrical finished. It's not supper exciting, but it's getting done :-)

It has begun...

We started a new project. Finishing the basement. So far so good. These pictures are before. Hopefully I can post pictures as we go. We got all the framing done this weekend and the electrical most of the way done, that is being finished tonight. Even though we don't own it is so nice to feel productive with something. It will give us more space and it is fun to watch the process.
We love living here. It is so nice to have a bigger living space! I feel like this was our "break" For so many years I have watched people get good deals, or move into a place that I would think "I would give my left pinkie toe for a place like that" and now years after waiting we have a place that fits us, in a neighborhood that we love. Todd has a job that is stable and the boys are happy in school and with friends.
I just feel so blessed! Life is good.

"Hiya!"

My computer has only worked off and on for the past two weeks. I feel totally out of touch :-) But it is working now so I can post pictures of the boys and their Karate class. TC, Titus, and Tate spend their Mondays and Wednesdays at Karate. They kick and punch and yell "Hiya!" for 45 min. They seem to be having a good time and they all come home exhausted. Which I am OK with!
After a couple of rough starts not knowing what "sit like a lazer" means, and squirming while the teacher is telling them about disapline and respect they are understanding the concept. It's fun to watch Tate...my cute sometimes uncoridinated Tate...learn the moves. He is the youngest in the class and sometimes he gets his arms and legs mixed up while doing jump-jacks. TC is the oldest in his class and has fun trying to keep up with another older boy (who punches more like he's boxing rather than Karate, but who am I to judge) Titus is Titus and sometimes is the one that has a hard time sitting still but he picks up on the moves quickley and seems to do really well.
I have had fun giggling with the other mom's in the back. It's fun to watch a bunch of little boys (and one girl) trying to watch and fallow a teacher while watching themselfs in the two full wall mirrors.

A new house and a new camera...

We have moved...again...I know, I know, again. My aunt once told me she has resorted to putting a post it note next to my name in her address book because my address tends to change so much. But this time we are in the same ward, same school, same HOA even. Just a bigger house. (I couldn't stand to leave my friends!) It is so nice to have the space, although I haven't had much time to enjoy it. I have been cleaning, moving, unpacking, taking kids to Karate (which will be another post BTW), running errands, and other such busyness of life. Hopefully this will also be the last move for a very, very, very long time...I guess it depends on Todd's job, which is a whole other discussion :-)
I think sometimes moving around the corner is even more stress full than moving to another state. For some reason, maybe it's because you figure things are just around the corner so you take smaller trips, but it seems to last forever and I tend to feel like it will never end. Oh-well it's so close to being done. HURRAY! Thank you to friends and family, the help was appreciated!
I would have taken pictures of the move but unfortunately, my camera was broken. But I have a new one now. So I can finally take and post pictures of the boys in Karate, and other cute things the kids have been doing.
