We had our 2nd annual camping trip to Log Canyon in June. Is was WET! Friday wasn't too bad when we first got there. We enjoyed setting up camp and riding a little on the 4-wheelers. Saturday it started sprinkling a little and so we made the best of it. 4-wheeling while it was sunny, or atleast not raining, then hiding under our well made-by-Todd shelter.
This is Shandail and I taking a couple of the kids on the 4-wheelers. (I think the kids were Haylie and Cristie)
These are all the kids eating a yummy breakfast Saturday morning! Left to Right- Tate, TC and Tanner, Tobyn and Titus.
Strike a pose Todd!
Our shelter. Shandail enjoying some fire time with Haylie. The kids were so busy running around it was hard to get a picture of them at all. Shandails 2 other kids were there also.
So was our camping until about 5 o'clock Saturday afternoon, of course only about 2 hours after Shandail's husband arrived. Then the heaven opened and it POURED!!! I mean our nice shelter was destroyed in about 4 min. The tarps were leaking rain was pouring in. I got it on video but I think it will take to long to upload so you will just have to imagine 4 adults, one SOAKED and freezing dog all the camping chairs, crowded under 1 big umbrella, and 2 leaking tarps. We had decided, about 15 min before the rain came, to stick the kids in the truck and have quiet time. We were so glad we did because the rain came in sideways at times. About 6:00 we had enough! Threw everything in the back of the pick-ups and left for our warm, dry home!
Home, Sweet, Home! It was a MESS to clean up, but we had fun while it lasted! Maybe next year will bring us better luck!
