I feel like the last couple of post were a little depressing. We really have had several fun things happen in our life lately. Lastnight was TC's second Pinewood Derby. Todd and TC found a cool design for his car. A ship, SS Battleship, was the name. Sorry if some of the pictures are a little blury. I couldn't seem to get a great shot. It was a lot of fun the whole family enjoyed it! Titus can't wait for next year when it's his turn!
A couple of weeks ago the weather was PERFECT for kite flying! So we took advatage of that and the kites the boys got for Easter and flew them! It was so much fun! I was trying to balance a Tanner on my hip and help Tobyn. Once the kites were in the air the older boys just let them go and had fun! Even Max was in on the fun!

My view from the car....
.....when it's not full. Some time I should take out my camera when all the boys are in the car, but usually it's to hectic and Todd's not always driving so that makes it a little hard to take pictures :-)
Excuse the mess...that too is something I see regularly in the car. I know, I know Tobyn should be in a car seat. We were half way there when I realized he had thrown it on the floor (you can see the bottom of it) and re-buckled himself in....silly kid!

Recap....
I feel like I need to post a new post. A recap of this past week.
Monday-Grandma's funeral, Sad, but happy she is in a better place. Love her and all she did!
Two days to get over the funeral and feel like life was getting back into a routine.
Thursday- Nichole had baby Jaxen Nicholas. 8lbs 19 inches long...cute as can be! Todd is also done with class and just has to go to two more class days so he can take finals, HURRAY!!!
Friday- Learn Jaxen swallowed maconium (spling?) and has to stay in the hospital for a few days.
Saturday- Enjoy the day with my hubby, not doing much just hangin out with the fam. Have my wonderful cousin and his wife and cute little boy over for a DELICOUSE dinner. Pig out with everyone!!!
Sunday- Church, as always refreshing and nice. Have a dinner with Todd's family and find out Jaxen is doing great, gets to come home monday morning!
( He is home now and mom and baby are doing great!)
It's been a little bit of a rolercoaster week, but over all life is good and loving it.
I will post pictures soon of the hightlights that haven't really been happening but are cute anyway!

Grandma's Funeral
My Grandma Ingram (my mom's mom) passed away on April 15, 2009. She was such a wonderful lady. I am sad that she has moved on, but the sweet lady I remember growing up with has not been here for several months.
Yesterday was the funeral. It was so nice. Bitter-Sweet feelings were involved for everyone. It is always hard to watch someone move on, but such a relief that she is happy and healthy once again. I am grateful that she had such beautiful children, especially my mom, who have influenced my life in such a great way! She was a good example to all of love and kindness.
It was hardest yesterday for me to watch the people I love, go through this hard time. Grandpa seemed more vulnerable than I have ever seen him. He truly loved his wife and wrote a beautiful tribute to her that my mom had the privilege of reading.
Titus and TC seemed to understand the most of my children what was happening. It was sad, yet happy for me to watch a few tears run down their cheeks. I was happy for the tears they shed only because it means she will be missed and was loved by my children.
Todd's Grandma Christensen passed away in October of last year and is among the great people up there waiting and watching over us. We loved both Grandma's and are grateful for the opportunity we had to know them here on earth.
I have said it before and I will say it again. I know that the plan of salvation is real. I will one day enjoy the company of these beautiful people again. I miss them for now, but the joy comes in knowing that they are in a better place and are watching down on us.

Easter Sunday
I love this time of year. The spring feeling that is usually in the air, the warm new-begining feel to everything, Conference time, all of it! I have read so many beautiful posts about this Easter season on many friend's blogs. I wish I has something grad and wonderful to say, but I figure the best I can say say for now is I am grateful for what this Holiday means; the sacrifice, the love, the renewal, the second chance and promise that it means to all of us, and time I have to enjoy it with the ones I love!
Despite the headache of finding Easter clothes this year, I think they all turned out to be a good looking bunch...but again...I am their mom!
Easter Egg Hunt #2
It was a cold, windy, rainy, day. It was the day of....The second Easter Egg Hunt! We managed to have a little fun despite the cold. The boys got lots of eggs and candy. The boys ran around like mad men trying to find all the eggs that Todd, Nic, and Will hid. Leave it to the men to do a good job hiding Easter Eggs.
Over all it was a fun day with the family and extended family. We enjoy the fun annual Easter Egg Hunt with them!

1st Easter Egg Hunt
This was the first little Easter Egg Hunt of the year. We had a little neighborhood hunt and it was fun. The weather was nice and the little boys got some good energy out with thier friends. Tanner knew what to do with very little coaxing...my they learn young! Tobyn seemed to be in his own little world while gathering the eggs. Tate thought he was hot stuff 'cause he got his 12 before anyone else...it helps when your one of the oldest and know how to count :-)
I love these pictures of the little boys. I love to get them in their own element!
Tobyn lookin at the goods...and those boots...
Tate and Tanner lovin the eggs...I mean candy!
Tanner a little off balance from his basket and the peskey hill :-)

Pet Peeve!
I love little girl clothes! Love them! Probably because I don't get to buy them very often. But that's OK. I am Ok with that fact and count on the fact that hopefully I will have buckets of Granddaughters to buy cute clothes for spoil, then send them home with one of my sons...ha ha ha!
BUT, I can't stand the fact that there are NO boy clothes! I know the options for cute girl clothes are way more besides, shorts, shirts, pants, and long sleeve shirts, but still! Why, oh why, don't they sell cute boy clothes (especially, dress clothes) for boys?!
I wandered around Wal-Mart today (I know that was part of the problem) looking for some dress shirts for the boys for Easter. They had 2 hangers, 2 that's it, for boys Sunday shirts that weren't white. No ties. and I found sizes for the three older boys. I settled on one that will be too big for Tobyn, but it was the only thing. After wondering around for 15 min, hoping something new would materialize I finally found, in the corner, 2 more hangers with collard shirts for infants. But they only had ugly colors to choose from. I did find a baby blue that will match the other boys.
I don't like to complain about money publicly, But I can't afford to go to big name stores and get the stuff I really want too. Although I am pretty good at finding the sales and I can come up with some pretty cute stuff, after searching, hunting, price matching, hair pulling madness! I just didn't have the time, this Easter. Considering we only have a few days left 'till Easter. I know part of that is my own fault for procrastinating.
But you get the point. NO BOY CLOTHES! UHGGG!!! Someday, Someday, I will open an all boys store with all the possible boy needs that are reasonably priced!!!
I am done ranting....on to more positive things today, like organizing my almost done basement (pictures coming soon!), coloring my sis-in-law's hair, and other such activities!

Tobyn Funny
Last night Todd and I were in the car with Tobyn and Tanner. We were returning from our 100th or so trip to The Home Depot...and this was the conversation we had.
Tobyn- "Dad!"
Todd-"What?"
Tobyn-"I fauted in my mous!"
Mom- "You farted in your mouth?!"
Tobyn-"Yeah!"
Dad-"You mean you burped?"
Tobyn-"Yeah!"
I thought it was so funny! To get the full affect, think of Tobyn in the back of the van in his brown boots (on the wrong feet), with his big eyes looking at you, all said in Tobyn talk, and nodding his head while smiling! Todd and I just couldn't stop laughing!
*I put it in my quote of the week, but I felt like it deserved a little explantaion
