Carlsbad Cavern

On the way home from Utah this we decided to make it more of a real road trip. We stopped at Carlsbad Caverns in NM. It was a great trip going down the cavern, it was huge! They are still exploring and finding new places. It took 3 hours to walk around the whole entire cavern. At the beginning, or the opening, there is a ampa theater where you can watch 400,000 bats fly out at dusk. We hiked down 750 ft down. At the bottom there is a restaurant and a very nice bathroom. After we were done, we took the elevator back to the top. It was the longest elevator ride ever!
